They Touch Our Hearts...

There many times in my children's lives that I've wanted to pull my hair out and say, WHY DO THEY DO THIS TO ME? Then I have those times when they do something or in this case say something that, "Touches Our Hearts" in a way that whatever has happened in the past is long forgotten.

If any of you have a sister then you know at times there can be massive cut throat fighting growing up. I didn't have a sister so watching this, there where times when I worried they really would someday hate each other. I noticed a small change in high school, but NOW since Ashliegh is in college in Arkansas I see a bigger change, and the change is to the good. I have a facebook just so I can keep up with what Ash is doing, (I HATE MSN) and on Brittany's facebook this is what I found written to her by Ashliegh:

Twenty years from now, chances are your BFF will not be at the table for your family Christmas dinner. But guess who will be there. Yep, your brothers and sisters! Invest yourself now in a friendship with them that will last forever. Sure, there are times when arguments and misunderstandings arise. That's natural. But if you treat them the way you want to be treated (Matthew 7:12) and continually offer them kindness and forgiveness (Ephesians 4:32), you can build a lasting friendship that will endure throughout all of adulthood. Thats a bond that will never break!

That totally, "TOUCHED MY HEART!" when I read it. So for any of you that have SISTERS and think there is just no hope for them, GIVE IT TIME, they WILL come around.

Hummingbird Craze...

WOW! UNBELIEVABLE! HUMMINGBIRD CRAZE! That's the only words to describe what I saw at my Mother's Monday afternoon. There were at least 7 hummingbirds the entire day drinking the delightful red nectar in the hummingbird feeder hanging from her house. She told me that they fill it 3 times a day for her little flying friends. I said they had to be on a sugar high the entire day. No wonder there buzzing around so quickly. They no which homes to go to.

When I was out taking there photo one of them even flew up and hit me in the back. Mom said when she's refilling it there actually hitting her arm trying to get more. CRAZZZZYYYYY!!!!

Directory Fun!

At Church I am doing our new directory in color and with that I'm taking pictures of the congregation. It's been a very time consuming process, but at least I've gotten some really fun good pictures out of it too.

You just gotta have a good time no matter what you do! But really I can't wait till our directory is all done, of course I think it's going to look, "AWESOME"!

Life away from home...

August was such a, "Fly By The Night" month. If we hadn't had our eyes open all the way we would have missed a great deal. Back and forth to Arkansas registering Ashliegh for her new life as a college student was exciting until it was the weekend of actually taking her and leaving her. I really dreaded that weekend, my brain knew it would be such a wonderful experience and she would grow up a great deal, but my heart was breaking to have my child live 6 hours away from me. WOW! Being a Mom is sometimes incredibly hard. Her first weekend she was terribly homesick, (which again broke my heart). My arms just don't reach 6 hours away, but THANK GOODNESS we now have the great invention of CELL PHONES! At least they make make both of our lives a little easier. I've also sent her, her first care package since she was a little down. It was the never ending box of just odds and ends, snacks, plus the two most important items an umbrella and the local paper with her photo in it. I know that was fun to receive. The picture you see there is the main floor of her dorm, it reminds me of something from, "Gone With The Wind". It's just beautiful. Now that she's been there a couple weeks shes made new friends and I think she is enjoying it. I feel it was all really meant to be. Oh I forgot to mention. She couldn't take her car since it really wouldn't make it that far, so immediately I asked if there was by chance anyone there that lived near Sullivan, MO and can you believe there is someone there from Potosi. WHOO HOO! But it doesn't stop there. Bill and I went to pick Ash up in Potosi Friday night for the long Labor Day weekend and we were waiting around for the girls to get there so we got to meet the parents, which I liked. Turns out her step dad has a farm in Farmington, MO and I said, "Oh small world, my whole family is from there." We told him where my brother lived and I couldn't believe it, but his brothers farm is right across the road from my brothers and his farm is right down the road. OH MY GOSH!!! What are the Freakin' odds of that!!! God has told me over and over he wants Ashliegh to go to school at CBC and I can hear him LOUD AND CLEAR.

WOW! It's Been So Long...

Life has been so busy this year, I don't even know where to begin.
To make my life more crazy my computer crashed a few months back so that left work for my church and other things put on hold.

I survived Ashliegh's graduation, project graduation, the Luau and Brittany leaving for the Philippine's the weekend of May 18th. I admit though, that was a VERY HARD weekend for me. I wouldn't advise trying to conquer that much in one weekend - too stressful on the body and on the heart.

My hopes were to spend a great summer with the girls since it was Ashliegh's last summer before college, but it just wasn't meant to be. Bill's dad had a triple bypass in June and is now in a nursing home and his mom, whom had a stroke 10 years ago has to have 24 hour care at home so that leaves Bill and I to take up a lot of the slack when needed. Unfortunately that is all the time on weekends and overnights. We have someone during the weekdays to take care of her, and now have found a girl that helps out some evenings, but not all of them. Bill is an only child so it has been rough.

My scrapbooking has went really down hill since my free time has been spent with my Mother-in-law. I really hate that I've been losing my passion for it. I'm hoping that Scrapbookers Addictions can pull me out of that rut with their new products they purchased from CHA. Plus maybe I just need a good scrapbookin' day with my buddies, (whom I haven't seen all summer). GIRLS, WE NEED TO MAKE A DATE!
